Birth information
editCan Ray Dalton's birth information be verified? His full name was added in this edit from September 2021 with a Pandora citation. I've checked that citation, as well as Ray Dalton's page on Pandora, and they don't seem to mention the birth date and location claimed in the article. On 22 May 2023, it was changed to a California Birth Index record instead. For much of 2013 (this article's first year), it listed 3/15/1991 as the birth date. In October of that year, an IP editor changed it to May 10th, the same date that is mentioned on the birth record page on California Birth Index (albeit one year off). I have reviewed the sources in the intro and "Life and career" sections, even having to use the Wayback Machine for the 3/22/2013 source, and none of them mention a DOB or a birth location.
How do we know that the Ray Dalton in the CBI citation is the same as this Ray Dalton? He's 22 in both the 3/22/2013 and the 4/30/2013 news articles, both of which were shortly before his 23rd birthday (assuming the May 1990 DOB is correct). The biography on his website also contained the sentence "Ray started his musical career at the age of six, shortly after his family moved from San Bernardino, California to Shoreline, WA." Notice that "moved from San Bernardino" implies he and his family lived in San Bernardino before the move, and the California Birth Index page does say he was born in "San Bernardino County, California." I've searched for "Ray Dalton" on Google, as well as "Raymond Adrian Dalton", and I can't seem to find any other sources that mention his full name or the other birth details. Of course, search results aren't everything (we must also consider web archives, which Google Search cannot find, as well as published books on the subject). If someone has a reliable source that can be used to back up the claimed full name, birth date, and birthplace, feel free to add it! If not, we can remove it.
