Please change the date of death of Dr Hook singer Ray Sawyer. According to this link, he passed away on December 28 :

I am also suprised at the lack of media coverage in the USA regarding his death. Nothing in the major news outlets... 95.195.194.184 (talk) 12:08, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
- Not done for now: Only one source shows him as having died on December 28. All other sources, and there are many, have a dateline of December 31 or January 1 and do not cite a date of death. – Jonesey95 (talk) 12:31, 1 January 2019 (UTC)
Date of death
editThere is still uncertainty about the date that Sawyer died. While The New York Times cites 31 December [1], we have cites for 28 December from The Guardian [2], Rolling Stone [3] and a band spokesman [4]. I think 28 December is more likely to be correct, but we may have to wait for a family or funeral notice. WWGB (talk) 05:36, 4 January 2019 (UTC)
- His wife Linda posted on the 31st of December that Ray Sawyer died that morning: see here. GeeJee (talk) 20:11, 6 January 2019 (UTC)

His agent, Mark Lyman, said Sawyer died in his sleep Monday in Daytona Beach, Florida, after a brief illness. Couldn't find any funeral notice or further family statement, besides the Facebook-message of his wife. But 31 December seems pretty obvious as death date to me. AJC.com mentions a "band spokesman" that confirmed 28 December to Rolling Stone, but in the article of Rolling Stone the following is stated: Page Six first reported Friday that Sawyer died in Daytona Beach, Florida following a brief illness; a representative for the band confirmed the singer’s death to Rolling Stone. No death date is mentioned, the representative only confirms the death of Ray and "the first report on Friday" is incorrect, Page Six first reported on Monday (31 December) (and also didn't mention a death date).
