editThat sounds like a POV criticism. -- Beardo (talk) 03:58, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Ouch
editI suspect that someone isn't a fan of Wilson. I've just removed the following (have removed the ugly formatting but kept the numbering as it was):
- Wilson continues to re-record and release the song "Inside" on a regular basis. As of Summer 2007 he has released it on no less than six occasions:
- 1.Stiltskin Inside single and album "The Minds' Eye" 1994
- 2. Stiltskin acoustic version b-side of single "Rest in Peace" 1995
- 3. Ray Wilson album "Live and acoustic" 2002
- 4. Ray Wilson album "The next best thing" also released as a single 2004
- 5. Ray Wilson abum "An Audience with Ray Wilson" 2006
- 5. Ray Wilson and Stiltskin "Live" 2007
- Which means that on average Wilson releases "Inside" every 2.16 years. However if one only includes Wison's own efforts, that average rises to once every 1.25 years.
Strike a light! Go easy on the man, whoever you are (no, I'm not going to wade through the edit history to find out). - Tbsdy lives (talk) 06:41, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Left Genesis?
editEvery interview I've read with Wilson, he claims that he didn't leave Genesis, but that he considered himself a member of the band throughout their hiatus and only de facto "left" Genesis by virtue of them splitting up. The Genesis and Calling All Stations articles also reflect this view. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.193.128.193 (talk) 13:36, 10 October 2011 (UTC)
Keeping it in the family...
editRay Wilson is the cousin of Ian Catskilkin, nee Wilson, of Indie popsters (ahem) Art Brut. This sort of stuff has been written into Wikipedia before at various points for each of them, but then written out, so why remove the factual consistencies of musical members of the same family?
Commercial bias perhaps? There's no reason an Art Brut fan would like Genesis and vice versa, I suppose, unless some "enlightenment" has occurred...
After I snuck the Wilson family factoid into an ancient version of the Art Brut page, it made it into a 2-page NME article about Art Brut.
Ian Wilson (now Catskilkin) told me himself and he told me it formed part of his drive to make Art Brut a success: he had a family member "make it" in the so-called music biz. Good on both of them for forging their careers around what they love. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.162.183.181 (talk) 22:42, 12 November 2012 (UTC)
