Death of Radiguet
editIt is believed among some French artists and art dealers that Radiguet was murdered. A dealer I spoke with in Lille insisted that Germans were responsible. Is there any merit to these claims? kentfx 04:49, 27 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kentfx (talk • contribs)
Radiguet's Engagement
editAt the time Radiguet died, he was engaged to the model Bronia Perlmutter (later Mrs. Rene Clair.) According to the book "Artists and Lovers: 1900-1930" (by Billy Kluver and Julie Martin), Jean Cocteau always realized that there is a difference between someone who is truly homosexual, and a wild young man who simply wants to experience everything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Younggoldchip (talk • contribs) 16:28, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
Straight or bisexual?
editOther articles on Wikipedia talk about Radiguet's romantic relationship with Cocteau but it is not confirmed here that they were any more than associates. Not that it matters but to be consistent, did he have relationships with men as well as women? If yes, then I'd like to add him to the category of LGBT authors. 69.125.134.86 (talk) 23:42, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
- Well, according to Jean Cocteau's page, there was no sexual relationship, just a very intense mentor-mentee relationship. 69.125.134.86 (talk) 01:00, 19 July 2013 (UTC)
Tuberculosis or typhoid?
editThe article currently states, citing an article behind a paywall (Paris Review), that he died of tuberculosis. Many other sources, including current refs 2 (Britannica) and 3 (Melville House publishing), state that he died from typhoid; also supporting the typhoid diagnosis is the description of the cover art for the 1 Nov 2018 issue of Clinical Infectious Diseases. I won't change the article yet, not having reviewed cited source, but it seems this may need correction. — soupvector (talk) 16:03, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
