Hello, I am planning on reviewing this article for GA Status, over the next couple of days. Thank you for nominating the article for GA status. I hope I will learn some new information, and that my feedback is helpful.
If nominators or editors could refrain from updating the particular section that I am updating until it is complete, I would appreciate it to remove a edit conflict. Please address concerns in the section that has been completed above (If I've raised concerns up to references, feel free to comment on things like the lede.)
I generally provide an overview of things I read through the article on a first glance. Then do a thorough sweep of the article after the feedback is addressed. After this, I will present the pass/failure. I may use strikethrough tags when concerns are met. Even if something is obvious why my concern is met, please leave a message as courtesy.
Best of luck! you can also use the {{done}} tag to state when something is addressed. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs)
Please let me know after the review is done, if you were happy with the review! Obviously this is regarding the article's quality, however, I want to be happy and civil to all, so let me know if I have done a good job, regardless of the article's outcome.

edit- Reanne Evans MBE (born 25 October 1985) is an English snooker player who competes on the main professional World Snooker Tour and the World Women's Snooker Tour - this wording suggests that she isn't a professional, rather that she competes on a professional tour. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:51, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- A record 12-time winner of the World Women's Snooker Championship, she is also the reigning World Mixed Doubles champion (with Luca Brecel), and is widely recognised as the most successful female player in the sport's history. - I think in terms of notoriety, having the statement as being the most successful female player should come first, and then comment on the titles she's won. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:51, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- highest break - link what this is. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:51, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- at the 2023 Snooker Shoot Out (2022–23 season) - could we remove the dab? Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:51, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Amended per the points above. BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 21:43, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
General
edit- The chronology seems a bit off here. It starts with a para about her winning all the things, then goes into details. Perhaps have that as a summary at the end? Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:56, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Re-organised. BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 23:24, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- ] She won her first ranking tournament, the Connie Gough Memorial Championship, in 2004. This was the only women's ranking event held in the 2003–04 season, after Allison Fisher, then the top female player in the rankings, had departed from the circuit to play nine-ball pool in the United States. - I'm not sure how these two things are connected. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:56, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Removed the reference to Fisher. BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 23:24, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- In the semi-finals of the 2015 championship, Ng and Evans were level at 2–2. Ng made a 55 break in the fifth frame, winning it 84–0. Following an unsuccessful safety shot on the brown ball by Evans in the sixth frame, Ng won 51–47 on the black. - this sort of just ends. There's no info about the match result, nor why we went into so much detail about the match. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:56, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Abbreviated and, hopefully, clarified. BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 23:24, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- She entered Q-School, but was unable to qualify for the main tour in the 2011–12 season.[citation needed] Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:59, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Ooops. Added refs. BennyOnTheLoose (talk)
- 3–6 to Andy Hicks in 2020, and 2–6 to Hicks in 2021 - perhaps we could combine these. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:59, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
- Amended. BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 23:24, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
Review meta comments
edit- I'll begin the review as soon as I can! If you fancy returning the favour, I have a list of nominations for review at WP:GAN and WP:FAC, respectively. I'd be very grateful if you were to complete one of these if you get time. Best Wishes, Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 20:45, 9 May 2024 (UTC)
