Reason (syntax extension for OCaml)Reason (programming language)https://reasonml.github.io/docs/en/what-and-why says that it is a programming language. https://2ality.com/2017/11/about-reasonml.html, the citation for the first sentence which says it is a syntax extension, says that it is a programming language. I don't doubt that it is a syntax extension of OCaml, but I don't think we have reliable sources saying that it is not a programming language. The name "Reason (programming language)" better parallels the titles of other articles, and is a lot less unwieldy than "Reason (syntax extension for OCaml)" Enervation (talk) 04:54, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

ReScript is no longer compatible with Reason syntax and has become its own language. ReScript started as the combination of bucklescript and reason, but it is now unrelated to the Reason project.

Reason can still be compiled to JavaScript, but not with the rescript or bucklescript compiler. it now uses a tool called melange. 96.230.237.114 (talk) 00:54, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
