Yagi antenna?

edit

Sgt. William T. Alexander, flight engineer, with B-24D #42-63980 of the 858th BS, 801st/492nd BG "Carpetbaggers" in 1944, showing Yagi antenna for Rebecca transponder

There's a useful new image, described as a "Yagi". However this seems to be a dipole and a reflector. Is that a Yagi? IMHO, a Yagi involves a dipole, a reflector, and at least one director element ahead of the dipole. Yagi's innovation was these directors: the simpler form with only the reflector pre-dated Yagi and wasn't named thus. Andy Dingley (talk) 16:14, 16 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Andy Dingley: Sorry, just noticed this now. Yes, it's absolutely a Yagi, specifically, a "two element yagi". Google it, you'll find many hits including Mr. Antenna himself. Maury Markowitz (talk) 14:11, 18 November 2020 (UTC)Reply
