Ole Miss Rebels (not Rebel Black Bears). You don't say "Alabama Crimson Tide Elephants..."
editThe University of Mississippi's mascot is "the Rebels". There is a black bear named "rebel" on the field, but they are not "The Mississippi Rebel Black Bears" Example: You don't say "Alabama Crimson Tide Elephants" They are the Alabama Crimson Tide. The on field character is an elephant, but elephants have nothing to do with the mascot. Same concept for Ole Miss. Ole Miss Rebels.
Please correct.
Dood. You're confusing a mascot with a nickname. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2602:306:25C5:6649:E12F:229C:60C:AF6A (talk) 10:35, 12 February 2014 (UTC)
Black Bears in MS subheading
editI'm not sure this is relevant to an article about a mascot. Do other mascots have the biological history of that animal, or whatever, is the region? If this isn't a regular practice, it should be deleted and moved to a more appropriate article. --Muddbrixx (talk) 14:33, 28 May 2013 (UTC)
