Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on List of safety records. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Rename: Records for safeties in NFL

edit

A number of things wrong with this title.

  1. "Football" is not a universal term that uniquely applies to American football. See WP:GLOBAL
  2. The article varies between covering NFL (and predecessor leagues) only, or including college football. The main table includes only NFL. There is no coverage for high school or youth league games in the same sport.
  3. There are no records for other pro leagues such as XFL, USFL, UFL, or CFL, nor for overseas leagues also called football and referring to gridiron football.

Should be "Records for safeties in NFL" or "NFL records for safeties" or something similar. At least, "Records for safeties in American football" although that isn't accurate either. - Keith D. Tyler 23:17, 14 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Note that there are four named sections that contain notable information about college football. Jeff in CA (talk) 03:31, 15 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
