Dosnt episode 49 seem to have to much of a summary? I think it would be better if it was shorter.

Deletion

edit

This page, as well as the two other "seasons" are fancruft par excellance. This is completely unencyclopedic and it's only existence on Wikipedia should be in the form of a link to a fan-page. --TheGrza 06:44, Apr 12, 2005 (UTC)

On April 14, 2005, this article was nominated for deletion. The result was keep. See Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Red Vs. Blue episode guide: Season 3 for a record of the discussion. Mindspillage (spill yours?) 16:37, 29 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Rewrite

edit

I just finished a major rewrite of the Season 1 summaries (thanks to Drat for some additional revisions and corrections). Some things that might warrant explanation, in no particular order:

  • In conformance with Wikipedia's Manual of Style, I spelled out CPR and AI the first time that they were used.
  • There doesn't seem to be a need or a precedent to put everything in parentheses in italics as well, so I removed the italics.
  • In episode 10, it's not readily apparent that Church doesn't eventually get to finish the guts of what he wanted to say, so I deleted the part of Caboose being the cause of that. (Besides, Church himself wastes some time with the fake haunting voice.)
  • Episode 19: At the point where Church leaves Red base to help Tex, he couldn't be shocked at Tex's death because she wasn't dead yet, only dying.
  • Judging from the name of the linked article, the Wikipedia-standard spelling for the term used for killing one's own teammate appears to be team killing (two words).
  • In episode 15, Church mentions both $10 and $5 to Sarge, so I changed the wording to simply "for a fee".
  • A big part of this revision was improving the transitions from the description of one event to the next within an episode. There might be yet better wordings; feel free to take a stab if you want.

A note about the cast list for season 1

edit

I used the "official" cast list as stated on the back of the season 1 DVD and on the season 1 poster. — TKD::Talk 15:08, 29 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I removed this paragraph

edit

While watching this and following episodes, many viewers often ask the simple question, "Why not pull the trigger?" Church, who has a sniper rifle and is using it to monitor the activity at the Red Base, has an unimpeded view of Grif and Simmons and has no reason to not simply shoot the two characters. The producers themselves ask this question while commenting on episode 12, noting that Caboose could easily shoot Grif while the latter is entering the Red Base.<ref name="S1DVDComment">Rooster Teeth Productions (2003). Audio commentary. In ''Red vs Blue Season One'' [DVD]. Buda, Texas: Rooster Teeth Productions.</ref>

I removed the above paragraph from the summary because it didn't really seem specific to the episode, or, indeed, the season in particular, and I couldn't find a way to reword it to make it fit. Maybe this better belongs in Red vs Blue production, or in a Themes section of the Red vs Blue? — TKD::Talk 21:12, 4 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Good Idea?

edit

I have begun adding links to the episodes on Machinima.com. Is this wanted? Should I continue?TheCoolestDude 18:51, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. It seems like a good idea. But to keep it tidy, try wrapping the links around the headline of each video's section. So, it's be like ===[http://www.machinima.com Trailer]===. Thanks alot. -- Viewdrix 18:26, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Is that better?TheCoolestDude 18:51, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yep. Thanks. -- Viewdrix 21:09, 28 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The title of the final episode, "Last one out, Het the Lights," could have helped inspire a sub mission (Last One Out Get the Lights) from the Halo 3 level Crow's Nest. Worth mentioning?Iron Dullahan (talk) 21:34, 3 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Only if it can be backed up with a reliable source such as a developer interview, level commentary, etc.--Drat (Talk) 01:11, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Freespace reference?

edit

The title of the episode "1.21 Giga-Whats?!" is a possible reference to a Freespace cutscene. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.79.223.118 (talk) 02:49, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Without a reliable source, that's original analysis, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. If any source exists (which is unlikely, given the track record for such things), it would probably state that the reference is to the DeLorean time machine. But again, a source is needed. — TKD::{talk} 02:54, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
