Name Origin

I can't find any links confirming this at the moment, but I know I've read before that the Regis were named in honor of Reggie Fils-Aime (current President of NoA, previously public spokesperson). Is anyone else familiar with this?

Android/Robot

I have changed the comments on the description of each of the Regis looking like androids, to robots. I made this choice by the simple fact that the word "android" implies that they somehow look strikingly human. The Regis do not, by any means, look like humans. Fact check

Please Fact check this edit[1].

This is and odd one as it is right and wrong. It is right because it is the signiture move of all Regi's (as they and Nidoqueen are the only ones who can learn it) and it is wrong because it is not only Regice's sig move basicly you just asked a question without an answer like the fact of the baboon's butt (he-he).-Fear teh Happy! 23:17, 6 July 2007 (UTC)

Capturing?

Shouldn't we delete this according to Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not? It is something that should be featured on a specialized strategy guide, not an encyclopedia.

the special moveset

Since it can use Ice Beam and Thunderbolt, most people use it as a Special Sweeper/Wall. It's standard moveset is: Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Rest, Thunder Wave/Counter.

absolute zero

ok firstly, the pokeballs were already solid in the first place. at absolute zero, however, i agree it wouldn't work as the surrounding air would be solid, and electrons would be in absolute stasis too. meaning the pokeball can't open due to hinges coated with solids, and however it works it's not gonna work as energy in all forms would be in stasis.

now -200 is hardly -273.15. at 200 degrees, the most you get is nitrogen and oxygen condensing/liquefying. that's about it. just nitrogen and oxygen liquefying, and due to the air's LOW density,the amount of liquid n2 and o2 u get are as minute as u can get, comparable to water condensation on a cold glass of water, so don't expect to regice wet and enticing (forgive the pun)

pokeballs will still work. and apparently they don't really squeeze the entire pokemon in there physically, so i wouldn't think too much about the pokeball with regice getting too cold for comfort.

besides, this is a manga/anime page, so their logics don't really apply when u're talking about plants and all. that information is unnecessary and not wiki-ish. there is no need to add that.--Hyper megaman 08:32, 28 January 2007 (UTC)

レジ (Regi)

The name should come from "resist" instead of "regis" or whatever it is. The name is in Japanese, so it would be natural for them to use a word that an average Japanese would know, instead of some Latin word which not much people understand. Unless there is some evidence from the game/official website saying otherwise, it should be changed to "resist". Louis 06:28, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Maybe that they use latin names for a few of there creatures? I mean, would you expect all names given in an American publication to be in English? I mean, come on, they're not culturally illiterate Neanderthals - they're allowed to have a grasp on ancient European languages, too.

Combination form?

I don't know if this was intentional or not, but if you place the eye symbols of Registeel above Regice, and then Regirock, you get something that looks VERY MUCH like a human - and Registeel looks like a giant head, Regice has prominent arms, and Regirock's prominent arms look much more like legs. They actually look like they fit together. Is this just me being crazy, or might this have been intentional?KrytenKoro 07:37, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Only Regi that says its name?

In the movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew, Regice is not the only one that says its own name. As Regirock appears, it exclaims its own name.

-Actually, Regirock should be the only regi (according to the movie) to not say its name. Taking in all sound affects, they should each sound like this (crudely).

Regirock: "bing-bing-bing, neh, neh, neh, neh, neh, neh" Regice: "regi, regiiiiiiice, regi, regi" Registeel: "re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re-re, registeel"

Regirock's prominent noise covers up, if ever said, his name and the others more clearly say it. If anyone has trouble finding Registeel's own pronounced name, listen in on the very end of its malfuncitioning slur, after its repetitive "re-re-re-re-re..." etc.
