Severe trim

edit

Have had to presumptively trim this pretty severely, as part of a CCI. The main source didn't work, I can't find a replacement online, and the "tone" suggested CV. Obviously material can be re-instated, subject to suitable sourcing and paraphrasing. KJP1 (talk) 09:32, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

What was the main source online is now "domain for sale". The material is probably all in the Timothy D'Arch Smith (1983) memoir, listed in the Refs, copies of which are available but a bit pricey. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:26, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
This source from St Johns College, Cambridge might also be useful: "Writing in 1966, Philip Larkin (published a number of times by Fortune) termed Cation a ‘bum-hunting old relic of the Twenties.’" Martinevans123 (talk) 10:58, 25 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
