The CSD tag was placed by a banned sock. ErikTheBikeMan (talk) 02:15, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
- Then can the CSD tag be removed? The page doesn't meet any criteria for deletion, despite the ridiculous title.Darth Nub (talk) 02:25, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
- This book appears to be genuine, i've added ref no.1 for you. I'll leave the tag - it's not my place to remove it. Baffle gab1978 (talk) 03:20, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
- I'm sure it could be removed, but I think it would be best to wait for an admin to take a look. I've left a message on the talk page of an admin I know. I do agree that the title is ridiculous... but it is a notable subject in a perfectly fine article. ErikTheBikeMan (talk) 03:34, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
- Speedy deletion requests can be removed by any editor other than the person who started the article. However, they should be removed with care - if they were added in good faith it was probably for a good reason. In that spirit it should not be removed by people who made significant contributions either. Authors and significant contributors should use {{hangon}}. Also, if a banned editor makes an edit, the edit can be removed by anyone regardless of content. However, if a banned user makes an otherwise-legitimate speedy-deletion request, common sense should prevail and it should probably be treated as if it were made by a non-banned user. That wasn't the case this time though, the speedy was declined on its merit, or rather, lack of merit. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs)/(e-mail) 04:32, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
- Thanks for the clarification. I'll be sure to remember that. ErikTheBikeMan (talk) 02:46, 30 January 2009 (UTC)Reply
