Andrew Johnson
editCould we perhaps see a citation on Andrew Johnson's preference for Catholic services? I do not doubt the truth of the article, but I have never read this before! Twozenhauer (talk) 20:20, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
- He didn't attend them. I've given a better statement based on the Miller Center bio. Mangoe (talk) 20:59, 14 October 2011 (UTC)
Affiliation or Belief?
editIs this article focused on affiliation or on personal belief? The two are not always the same. In either case, we need citations to reliable sources that support what we state here. 16:25, 2 February 2010 (UTC)
Mike Pence
editThought he was an Evangelical non denominational type — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.127.115.248 (talk) 17:59, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- Apparently not. Blueboar (talk) 18:49, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
Evangelical Catholic
editThis seems to be a description of Pence's religious view, rather than his 'affiliation. as far as I know, there is no Church that is named the "Evangelical Catholic Church" to which one can affiliate. Blueboar (talk) 00:07, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
- He appears to be either Evangelical Protestant or Roman Catholic. I don't want to gamble, so its better to leave Evangelical Catholic as it is free for interpretation (see Evangelical Catholic) until we definitely know if he's either one.Ernio48 (talk) 08:26, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Move discussion in progress
editThere is a move discussion in progress on Talk:List of Vice Presidents of the United States which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 23:02, 21 May 2018 (UTC)
Format/Content
editThis article and Religious affiliations of presidents of the United States obviously contain a number of the same people. However, this one is in a different format, with less (and indeed inconsistent) information about e.g. Jefferson, Johnson. I think each article should match the other other as far as possible. 2A02:8012:227B:0:9CF3:6312:BA2D:4F43 (talk) 10:32, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
Verification
editI note that a recent edit changed Walter Mondale from Methodist to Presbyterian… I have no clue whether this is accurate or not, since neither denomination was cited. And THAT is a problem. This list is woefully under-verified. Blueboar (talk) 12:29, 13 August 2024 (UTC)
