Last American service member of at least two-star rank to die as a result of official duty
editI'm not sure what makes Admiral Robinson the "last American service member of at least two-star rank to die as a result of official duty" until 2001. Consider Major General Jarrett J. Robertson, killed in a helicopter crash in Germany in February 1993. Robertson wasn't killed in combat, but he was performing his official duty, as were those killed on the aircraft with him. Major General James Rumbaugh died following a parachute jump in Honduras while being transported back to the United States. These are just two examples of two-star rank US officers who died while performing their official duties during the period 1972-2001.Eltrace (talk) 18:33, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
