Renée Fladen-Kamm was indeed an inspiration for "Walk away Renée"

edit

This article asserts that Renée Fladen-Kamm was not an inspiration for The Left Banke's "Walk away Renée". It also states that "The man who wrote the song [was an individual named] Anthony Sansone, which is at best a misattribution; the wikipedia entry for that tune lists Sansone only as a co-author. Likewise the main listed composer - Michael Brown - declares "Michael Brown has stated that the song is one of a number he wrote about Renée Fladen (later Fladen-Kamm), the then-girlfriend of the Left Banke's bassist Tom Finn and object of Brown's affection"; we also have eyewitness testimony from Tom Finn - one of the Left Banke group - to the effect that Renee Fladen, his then-girlfriend, broke Brown's heart. So it is far more probable that Fladen was indeed the "Renee" of the song. It is entirely possible that Sansone had his own experience of heartbreak; but this is outweighed by other testimony. 222.153.177.116 (talk) 222.153.177.116 (talk) 00:00, 5 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
