Wanted to add the following, but they're personal observations ... anyone watching this page have good links for news reports, etc., that can be used for citations?
The music was carried live over a local radio station, so Houston area residents could listen and observe the concert from vantage points surrounding downtown. In parking lots around the city, residents camped out, some with barbeques, and watched the performance with music streaming from car radios. The weather was overcast, with the cloud ceiling dropping as the concert continued, the fireworks from the tallest buildings illuminated the sky dramatically.
