Town council?
editI don't think this article makes it clear how a representative town meeting differs from a "town council". Does it differ? AJD (talk) 06:05, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
- Typically, representative town meeting differs from a town council:
- It has a larger membership, often by a factor of 10.
- Its presiding officer is the Moderator, who runs separately in the town election, while a town council usually elects its chair from among its members.
- It meets much less often, a few times a year, as opposed to monthly or fortnightly.
