Talk:Republic of Lakotah proposal

What happened?

edit

A month or so ago, I could not read a single paragraph in this article without seeing mention of the Pine Ridge massacre inn the '70s. Now, it's not even mentioned in passing, and the entire page for the event itself seems to have disappeared. So my question is just what happened to this article and the mentions of the battle in Wikipedia? It seems a bit biased to leave out an event with significant influence to what's being discussed. The page for the incident hasn't gone; it's quite extensive, at Wounded Knee Occupation. Klbrain (talk) 09:07, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Merge proposal

edit

The Lakota Freedom Movement is a long-standing stub with no inline citations; it would be better merged with the heavily overlapping and broader article here. So, I support the September proposal. Klbrain (talk) 09:12, 21 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Flag of the Republic of Lakotah or the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation?

edit

  Is this a real flag of the Republic of Lakotah or the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation? Circesling (talk) 17:24, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Once again, it is a flag of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, and can be seen on their website. Remsense 17:36, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, The Republic of Lakotah is not a flag and it's not a proposed flag Circesling (talk) 17:54, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, I don't understand the statement. Could you rephrase? Remsense 17:56, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, It's not a flag of the Republic of Lakotah, It's a flag of the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Circesling (talk) 14:40, 3 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Remsense, I already did. Circesling (talk) 15:06, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Why are you posting these things and asking these questions? Remsense 15:07, 13 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Flag redux

edit

@DaRealPrinceZuko, as you can see above there is no source in the article that establishes that the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation flag is used in this way, nor the "proposed" territorial boundaries. The burden is on you to provide a source before adding the material again. Cheers. Remsense 01:38, 3 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

The rest of the information is sourced in the article itself, so there was no need to erase the entire infobox and not just the flag. DaRealPrinceZuko (talk) 01:40, 3 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
