Fan-made Version (probably because this game is abandon/vaporware)
editwww.lsdwa.com/projects/fractalus Luke's Software design has a fan-made version of the game that is compatible with VR (Oculus, so far, IIRC). A worthy link, if any, for external links and homages/influences.

editThe pre-release version - which was inevitably spread through the pirate networks - was called "Behind Jaggi Lines"; obviously a play on the "jaggi" lines which make up the environment, but also a reference to infiltrating your ship behind the enemies forces...
Aliens indistinguishable from human pilots
editAt first, aliens would wear green helmets, making them easily identifiable, but later in the game, would be indistinguishable from humans. It was possible to let a human die, as his knocking on the hatch would become at first frantic, then slower and more feeble as they perished. Not in the CoCo3 version that I played. They consistently had the differently colored helmet. Any other remembrances?
Jaggi alien included in Maniac Mansion
editIn Maniac Mansion, there's a telescope that if aimed the wrong way, will show the same window ponding alien.
This is included in the Day of The Tentacle version of Maniac Mansion game, where the full Maniac Mansion game is included, and can be run by clicking on a computer console in a room in Day of The Tentacle. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.194.92.80 (talk) 13:25, 12 May 2007 (UTC).
- After all these years it seems hard to pin this down. A couple of forum posts mention it, but they aren't clear as to whether it's in Maniac Mansion or the version of Maniac Mansion in Day of the Tentacle, and I can't find a screenshot anywhere. Urban legend? But where did it come from? -Ashley Pomeroy (talk) 19:23, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- Not a legend at all. If the telescope in the observatory is set improperly, looking through it shows a brief cutscene of a Martian landscape with the Jaggi guy pounding with his hands. I don't know about the C64 original, but I've seen this in both the low-res and high-res PC versions (I think it's in all other versions too, except NES). And, since the version included in DOTT is 100% identical to the low-res version, it is no surprise that this easter egg also appears there. Would be nice if someone posted a Youtube video of this event, so we could reference it in the article. --Krótki (talk) 16:46, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
