"ostensibly"
editThe use of the word ostensibly has a connotation that there is some other (hidden) agenda. Since Wikipedia attempts to remain neutral, I have taken the liberty to change the wording. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ed8r (talk • contribs) 00:17, 28 January 2012 (UTC)
Issue of the uses of Torture
editThis sentence is very problematic "Especially moving into modern times, when information and technology is often more important than numbers in combat, and when torture has been used less often to humiliate and more often to extract information" has it even been proven that torture can actually extract information? — Preceding unsigned comment added by SaraK (talk • contribs) 04:56, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
