2nd opinion requested – It seems to fit all the GA criteria except possibly #3. It seems to talk a lot about Davidson and not about the band itself, which raises question in my mind about how this article is focused. –MuZemike 02:12, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
On hold pending the improvements below. If you can find just a little more stuff about the band itself (as opposed to just Davidson), that would be great. –MuZemike 04:02, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- Withdrawal. Sorry, but I'm unable to work due to lack of supporting materials (in this case magazine articles).--Cannibaloki 04:27, 4 May 2010 (UTC)
- Failed – I'm sorry to hear about the withdrawal. Hopefully you are able to find more stuff in the future. Thank you, –MuZemike 16:19, 4 May 2010 (UTC)

2nd opinion
edit- Prose and MOS:
- In 2000, vocalist David Davidson, drummer Phil Dubois-Coyne and bassist Anthony Buda, who attended to high school in Boston,... "who attended to"?
- Davidson recalled those recordings Unclear. Did he actually "recall" the recordings in the sense of pulling them out of record stores, etc.? Or is this referring to him remembering the recordings? Needs clarification.
- ... and in 2008 they went back into the studio to record its first full length album, ... "they", "its"?
- ...while some of the atonal aspects of jazz gave him a different perspective on composing and soloing. This is actually a directly lifted from the interview,[1] so it should be attributed, e.g.: This musical education brought him a expertise in both playing and songwriting; he told ezine Lords of Metal that "some of the atonal aspects of jazz gave me a different perspective on composing and soloing."
- Added quotation marks
- The reception (criticism) in the History section should be split out into a Reception section and expanded with further reviews.
- Does the band not have a website? This should be in the infobox and the ELs. Having searched, all I can find is their page on the Relapse site.[2] Suggest listing this.
- I found this existenceisfutile.info
- That just plugs the album and is linked staright back to the record company site.

- Referencing:
- References appear OK
- Broad and focussed
- As noted above the article focusses heavily on Davidson, who appears from the interviews to be the spokesman for the band. I am not sure how to balance this, except trying to dig out further information on the other members. There is a little material in the interviews, it does appear to be very much Davidson's band, rather than a coming together of equals.
- I'll see what I can do...

- Overall
- The band only just meets WP:NMUSIC by virtue of having had two albums released on indie label Relapse. I see no reason to fail this if the issues above about the prose are addressed. –– Jezhotwells (talk) 03:00, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- "The band only just meets WP:NMUSIC by virtue of having had two albums released on indie label Relapse." Are you sure of this?--Cannibaloki 04:31, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well, the only one of the 10 criteria that the band meets is #5 of Wikipedia:NMUSIC#Criteria for musicians and ensembles. Nothing about meeting any of the other criteria is mentioned in the article. I assume that Relapse meets the definition of "one of the more important indie labels (i.e., an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable)." –– Jezhotwells (talk) 09:28, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
