I moved this page to Revolutions (plural) - obviously there was more than one revolution. --Alex S 01:34, 2 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Introduction's list of causes

edit

I think the words "the regrouping of established government forces" should be removed from the list of causes found in the second intro paragraph. These words refer more to the ultimate success of counter-revolutionary efforts to reverse and suppress the revolutions, rather than to the forces causing the revolutions in the first place. I have found from firsthand experience working with high school students that the inclusion of these words in this list of causes just confuses things. Initial event of 1848 revolutions

edit

The article points to the French February revolution as the initial spark of the revolutions of 1848. This is inaccurate. It is commonly recognized that Palermo's uprising was the initial spark that inspired later events.

See, for example:

I recommend amending the text. Skater00 (talk) 21:27, 15 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

The Netherlands

edit

At one point in the article, it is mentioned that the revolutions were significant in the Netherlands. It is later stated that the Netherlands was not affected by the revolutions. Which is correct? MangoBenjamin361 (talk) 06:13, 19 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
