editThis online proclamation references the Governor of Oregon as having commended Rex T. Barber for his involvement in Little League Baseball. Hopefully that's a high enough source for Wikipedia.—Preceding unsigned comment added by EOBeav (talk • contribs) 17:34, December 5, 2006

"Sheesh" edit summary
editHi EOBeav. Thanks for providing the sources for the unsourced fact. I found the "Sheesh" comment a little bit uncivil, however. Sorry if you feel it's annoying to have to cite your sources. I know whether or not he supported Little League seems like a minor issue, but we are trying to write the best encyclopedia possible and that includes backing everything up with sources. Unfortunately personal experience does not count. BTW, "Culver is a city in Jefferson County, Oregon, United States." I won't revert that bit, but it is indeed a city, that's why I changed it. You're doing good work on the Oregon stuff (have you considered joining WikiProject Oregon?)-- please don't take any of my or other editor's copyediting personally. If you disagree with something, be sure to bring it up on the talk page. Thanks! Katr67 17:46, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Katr67, I apologize if that came across as uncivil. I meant it more towards Wikipedia in general than to you personally. We're all volunteers on here. I just see so much information on here that's unsourced, and so I found it a little ironic that something as apparently minor as this guy's involvement in a youth organization was insisted upon being sourced. I'll cc this to your personal talk page.—Preceding unsigned comment added by EOBeav (talk • contribs) 19:02, December 5, 2006
- Thanks, I replied on my talk page. Katr67 19:24, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I added the original fact tag to that. When you have been on Wikipedia long enough you get a 6th sense to detecting things that are based off of personal knowlege, as I originally suspected it was so I tagged it as so. I am glad you found a citation for it though, it now looks more encyclopedic. P.S. - You can sign your comments by adding "~~~~" at the end of them. VegaDark 19:09, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Wow
editI started this article a couple of years ago after driving across a bridge with this guy's name on it. I did a little research and put up a few lines about him in Wikipedia. Amazing how it's grown since then. EOBeav (talk) 22:04, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
2003 inspection
editExcellent article on Rex Barber. I have a question about the 2003 inspection of the Yamamoto crash site. Who conducted the inspection and did the analysis of the Betty Bomber.FBumpire (talk) 02:22, 15 March 2009 (UTC)
