Subsaharan Africa
editThis page says RTV was the third tv station in sub-saharan Africa, yet lists Nigeria and Egypt as the two first despite Egypt not being sub-saharan even when Sudan was part of them. Wouldn't that mean RTV was the second in sub-saharan africa? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.66.198.178 (talk) 13:41, 9 February 2022 (UTC)

- Your assertion is incorrect.
- The site says:
- It was only the fourth TV service in Africa after Algeria, Nigeria and Egypt, and the first such service in southern Africa, since South Africa did not introduce television until 1976.
- I have now added another reference https://www.nytimes.com/1960/12/04/archives/rhodesia-starts-first-tv-station-only-television-south-of-equator.html Roskilly (talk) 22:07, 2 March 2023 (UTC)
