DOB
edit@Greghenderson2006please provide WP:RS that directly supports his DOB as reported in article. I am finding discrepancies in his death of age. Graywalls (talk) 23:37, 25 September 2023 (UTC)
- Richard Brown was born on July 3, 1810 based on at least one source: Richard Brown, known as Dick, was born July 3, 1810, in Mystic, Connecticut. Other sources indicate only 1810. Ancestry.com has sources that point to his age at the time of the census, which also point to the year 1810, even though they record at the top:
- Captain Richard Brown
- BIRTH 3 JUL 1810 • Mystic, New London, Connecticut, USA
- DEATH 18 JUN 1885 • Brooklyn, Kings, New York, USA Greg Henderson (talk) 00:29, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
- WP:ANCESTRY please remember that it is considered more or less the same as WP:FAMILYSEARCH. We do not use. Graywalls (talk) 00:36, 26 September 2023 (UTC)
