When was he promoted?
editEverything I've read called him Sergeant, but that he was a Corporal when he was captured. When did he become a Sergeant? There was a supposed source which made the claim that he was a sergeant, but it didn't, so I removed it. Corvus cornixtalk 17:24, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
Vid. asked me to come here. I saw a source that said he was promoted while POW. I would need to look it up again if you want the exact link. FridayCell7 (talk) 15:08, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
tag moved
editThis tag was placed by Buckshot06. I have removed it from the article because fixes are being written now. I have moved it here so that those who question the article can discuss it. This is an attempt to continue dialogue and not have anyone think that I am trying to remove a tag because of any disagreement.
Desautels is a historical figure and cited in USA Today, MSNBC, ABC, etc. Some of the sources use the same AP story but many news organizations have deemed it newsworthy to print, not just one obscure newspaper. FridayCell7 (talk) 19:46, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

- The issue was not with the article, but in that Buckshot06 tends to follow me around subjecting everything I do to question. I picked up the article during new article patrol, so that is how it ended up with a notability tag--mrg3105 (comms) ♠♥♦♣ 23:14, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
