- If it can be established that Gunn has won some award related to acting, I will withdraw my objection to this article. WriterWithNoName (talk) 20:09, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
- In 2001, Dark Angel won for Favorite Television New Dramatic Series. Gunn however, has never been nominated for an acting award. WriterWithNoName (talk) 20:03, 7 November 2015 (UTC)
Notability
editTo date, none of the edits to this article have established Gunn's notability. Gunn's association with actors or family that have received awards does not make Gunn himself notable. WriterWithNoName (talk) 15:11, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
- The TV Series Dark Angel Wiki lists Gunn(Sketchy) twice, yet does not establish the relevance of the character in relation to the series. WriterWithNoName (talk) 15:14, 8 November 2015 (UTC)
- Hi Writer, the notability guidelines say "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article or list." This article currently has twenty-five independent, reliable sources, which I would say is significant whether he's won an award or not. Nor is it self-promotional — I'm the one who created it and I did so only because I saw his strong performance in Hemlock Grove, came here to learn more about him, and was surprised no article was there yet. I can't speak to why a previous article was deleted, but the notability guidelines do not refer to acting awards, and he seems to be notable enough now to justify keeping the decent article about him that has been built in the last week (in part thanks to you!), so I would ask you to reconsider your objection. - Our ideas of notability differ. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia of accomplishments, not a website of lists. There is Imdb.com for this sort of thing. However, I am apparently in the minority on this issue, and I will drop my resistance to this article, provided that it maintain a neutral POV. I have already discredited and removed much of the promotional or irrelevant material from this article. WriterWithNoName (talk) 22:08, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
