Re: Moving this article to "Richard Lloyd (musician)"...I named the article "Richard Hey Lloyd" because there are indeed several other Richard Lloyds who are musicians, particularly a well-known rock guitarist...I thought it would be easier to identify him with his complete name...and he does seem to use the full name sometimes...if you google "Richard Hey Lloyd" you will find the man you are looking for, but if you google "Richard Lloyd" you'll have to look through all the other Richard Lloyds first...I would much prefer the article which I wrote with RHL's help to stay as "Richard Hey Lloyd". (Not wanting to sound arogant, I've known him for more than 40 years!)

On Facebook there is a page for RHL: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Richard-Hey-Lloyd/110996738952224
But that Facebook page is itself derived from this Wikipedia article, so its title does not provide external evidence of the name. It's circular. Feline Hymnic (talk) 21:04, 13 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

notability

edit

Adding gigantic lists of compositions, publications, arrangements and recordings (mostly unsourced) isn’t very helpful, what the article needs is independent reliable sources for the content in order to establish notability. Theroadislong (talk) 18:38, 22 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I've cleared out everything without a reference. Granted, the works with references are mostly referenced to the publisher of that piece, but I'm willing to extend a little good faith and overlook that problem. Primefac (talk) 21:32, 22 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
The article was vastly improved briefly but it looks like User:Feline Hymnic has reverted to a much less suitable version.Theroadislong (talk) 21:59, 22 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
Please see the content of my edit summary. I actually tend to agree that it is too long and, in the long run, may well end up shorter. But we are working on trying to improve the article, and crave just a little patience, please, to try to do a constructive improvement, which we well appreciate may ultimately reduce the article. I propose that the next few days be spent on providing references to the important works in these lists. Then, in a week from now (29 May), the lesser items that lack references can be removed. How does that sound? Feline Hymnic (talk) 22:29, 22 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
