There is another Richard Huish College page. It is very brief and this one contains far more detail. Suggest info from the other is integrated here, and the other page is deleted. carena 20:51, 31 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Huish Grammar School

edit

I am in no way involved with or knowledgeable about this school, but I noticed that someone mentioned on the Arthur C. Clarke article that the school was Huish Grammar School when ACC attended it. It might be worth including something here to explain its history as a grammar school, if only to tie up the links with former pupils. SMeeds 21:04, 24 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

A related question: I'm editing my grandfather's first world war diary, which mentions he played football for 'the Huish' around 1905. I assume this was a name for the grammar school, and nothing to do with Yeovil Town (my grandfather grew up and went to school near Taunton). But there isn't enough history here to know. The school's own website is advertising rather than history oriented. Marinheiro (talk) 19:52, 12 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

A levels

edit

I have tried to clarify with wikilinks the various types of A levels available. The current article mentions AVCE, but the article about this (Vocational Certificate of Education) suggests they are no longer being used. Can anyone clarify this in the article please? WikiProject class rating

edit

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 10:31, 10 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Close connection banner

edit

A banner was added to this page in February 2016 saying "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject." Presumably this relates to: User:RichardHuishCollege and User:Tilly4p who are named at the top of this talk page. It has been edited several times since then with edit summaries such as "tone down promotional material" and "Rm unsourced puffery". Do people think enough has been done to remove promotional material - and hence remove the banner - or are there areas where more needs to be done?— Rod talk 16:04, 29 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
