“Award” from the IBC
editDr. Doty received an award from the International Biography Centre which is described on wikipedia in not very good terms:
“Government consumer advocates have described it as a "scam" or as "pretty tacky". Its use to support the granting of a US O-1 visa (for individuals with an extraordinary ability) has been described by US employer Oracle Corporation as purchasing "vanity accolades" to use as "phony credentials", with a warning that "visa fraud is a serious crime" with severe penalties.”
Thus I am not convinced that his receiving the IBC outstanding scientist award merits any mention in Dr Doty’s article. I have removed it and if anyone disagrees please let me know and we can discuss. Sharperimage0 (talk) 17:43, 20 December 2020 (UTC)
- Looks like the article on the IBC is now deleted so that solves that. - SHARPER IMAGE (talk) 05:27, 1 January 2021 (UTC)
