Wrong photo of Brig. Gen. Beale!
editI know the Library of Congress has the photo (several copies, in fact) labeled as Brigadier General RLT Beale, but the uniformed gentleman with the mustache is NOT the same General Beale about whom this article is written. The photo at top right is the correct photo, showing him later in life as a Virginia Congressman. The uniformed general at lower left is actually General William Nelson Rector Beall, CSA.

Lee family
editOn the Lee family wiki page, it lists Richard L. T. Beale as a 'Lee relation', but doesn't document the kinship. By what connection were they related? Valetude (talk) 14:35, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Don´t know if she is the only or closest relation, but apparently one of his migrating paternal ancestors, Martha (1716-1751), was a born Lee (and a married Fitzhugh). ...GELongstreet (talk) 15:20, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
