Actor?
editI've expanded this. Is he an actor ? - if so, I didn't know and it could go back in. I'm not sure if the "trivia" point is really relevant - he's certainly written many more interesting comments elsewhere in my view. Ghmyrtle 22:46, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
- He's not an actor but he has appeared in some "Under Review" music documentaries, notably for The Byrds. I'll try and get a list of his film work from him to include in the article. --Utilizer (talk) 05:53, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
Notability
editSomeone (anon) added a {{notability}} tag to this article. I've added a couple of independent references and text to refute this. There is no evidence that Unterberger has edited this article, although some of the text does come from his website and other non-independent sources, so it would be useful to have more independent citations. Nonetheless I've deleted the tag - in my view he is clearly notable according to the criteria in WP:BIO. Ghmyrtle (talk) 10:24, 17 August 2008 (UTC)
- Richie is definitely someone who should be included in Wikipedia. His books and reviews are quoted constantly in articles and biographies, which makes him notable, but also makes it hard to cite, with so many references in print. I'll try and keep a look-out for more citations to add here. --Utilizer (talk) 05:56, 6 August 2010 (UTC)
- While I agree with User:Utilizer, that Unterberger's published books and reviews cement his notability, there are some obvious concerns. We who work on biography pages- this being a BLP, at the sane time it's hard to maintain objectivity, and there is also a danger with the subjects here creating a "mirror image", if you get my drift. Just tread carefully and use unaffiliated sources as much as possible, please. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 22:19, 30 October 2011 (UTC)
