I suppose the title is self-explanatory.
There is no doubt as far as I can see that Vanderkindere's position that Herman her husband is the "Reginar" is widely accepted.
In terms of theories about who Richilde's family were, we have little tertiary literature yet about Van Droogenbroeck, but his explanation also has not yet been pulled apart? So it seems a good candidate we must list.
But has it replaced all other ideas, such as the one Pirenne put in the Dictionary of National Biography? And the other is that of Vanderkindere himself. Any more?
