Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because the webpage is intended as a citation. That is not a copyright infringement. Also, this article is a work in progress. I will be making further edits TODAY.

You may use the web page as a citation, but you may not copy and paste text from it. As it stands the article contains text which is a nearly exact copy of the cited source; there is almost nothing original. If you would like the article to be kept, you must rewrite the text in your own words, and provide citations to reliable sources. —Psychonaut (talk) 17:21, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion

edit

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because this is not an exact copy of the language of the bio on the webpage. Using information from another source and citing to it is not a copyright infringement nor is it plagiarism. The language used in the article is completely original and not a direct lift from the website. I am baffled as to why this is being tagged for deletion. Please reconsider. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jollymonsingr22 (talkcontribs) 17:46, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

At the time the article was tagged, yes, the article did contain sentences copied exactly from the sources. I see that you have now rewritten the text. However, you are not permitted to remove the speedy deletion tag from articles you have created yourself. You must leave it in place until an administrator investigates. Your article is in no danger of being deleted if it no longer contains substantial copyright infringement. —Psychonaut (talk) 21:01, 21 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Today's changes by apparent subject of article

edit

It appears that today's changes are changing the article from being about what the subject is notable for (thin enough as it was) into a resume of the subject's current work. If the article doesn't clearly and thoroughly establish soon what the subject is notable for, I may have to submit this article for deletion. Stevie is the man!
