Allegedly
edit- which is allegedly linked to Al Qaeda.
What does this even mean? Magic Johnson and Larry Bird are intimately linked in my mind because of the many great games they played against one another. Obviously, that's not what linked means in this sentence. But what does it mean? And who alleges it? Please avoid this meaningless word.
Also, you've been putting in a lot of work on these articles and I appreciate it. While you're doing it, could you source these things? With footnotes or via words in the text itself, not just listing sources at the end, so that you have to slog through four sources to see which one contains the information? Ok, I'll add captions to the sources. :) WhisperToMe 02:18, 18 Nov 2003 (UTC)

The United States is now claiming that Hambali was located through tracking of his finances. Does anyone know this to be a proven fact? Did it come out in his trial? Is there evidence that contradicts the US governments claim? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.163.161.39 (talk • contribs)
Hambali's envisioned state in SE Asia
editJust getting rid of the (citation needed)tag. Just doing a simple search I was able to find extracts on JI's vision of a state including northern Australia, albeit from a biased source. Nevertheless, it is acknowledgement of this fact in criticising the Four Corners program (where this information was presented) that is good enough for this time. If anyone has further time, they can add to this by looking at the specific Four Corners program or looking up more news articles. I disctinctly remember reading in the newspapers about this vision of an Islamic superstate headed by JI. -- Permafrost 08:35, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
explanation
editAn anonymous IP address made what I considered an overly bold informationectomy. There is no real doubt that he was tortured. I reverted it, and added a couple of references. Geo Swan (talk) 00:57, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
responsible use of tags...
editAn anonymous IP added a {{POV-section}} tag to the section on torture. But they didn't then offer an explanation for this tag, here.
I suggest we wait a reasonable period of time. If no one offers a meaningful substantive justification for that tag we should remove it. Geo Swan (talk) 01:04, 29 June 2018 (UTC)
