Why was this particular dessert named after the prince? Is there a known connection to the ingredients or an event? ChildofMidnight (talk) 01:57, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I do not know about the ingredients. It was named after the Hungarian Gipsy musician, called Rigo Jancsi. He became a bit of a celebrity in Hungary and the story around is romantic and unusual. It is a celebration cake in his honor, named after him the same way like namings streets, or ships or anything after a more celebrated or notable person. 6 Jun 2008 ... Like Red Wings Celebration Cake, in honor of the Detroit Red Wings’ victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2008 Stanley Cup Finals.

Is it anything that needs to be clarified in the article?

Interesting. I think you did a good job clarifying a bit. Do we know if the cake was developed for a particular event or who made it first? I guess not. Anyway, it's an interesting article.
