Photo

we really need a photo where you could, you know, *see* the Rio. The photo that's there currently ("rio_hotel_at_night") is basically unusable. Anybody have a better one? I don't think I have a usable one of the Rio in my archives. SpikeJones 12:45, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Rio logo.JPG

Image:Rio logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Trivia section

The Trivia section contains nothing of real value. Barring any objection, I am going to remove it some time in the near future. SmartGuy 16:32, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

No objection here, although the bullet for the wine shop could be retained in some manner (in the text of the article, natch') if it is still true.SpikeJones (talk) 18:13, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Looking at the infobox...

The way the infobox was originally conceived, buffets were never to be listed. I grant that the World Buffet at the Rio is significant in Vegas buffet history, but should it be listed as a "signature attraction"? Or should it be removed altogether as per standard "no buffets in the infobox" policy? SpikeJones (talk) 18:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Ditto Voodoo Lounge and Club Rio, as they are merely bars/clubs at the casino and not "attractions" a la a volcano, pirate show, etc. To me, the Masquerade in the Sky show is the Rio's signature attraction. Thoughts? SpikeJones (talk) 18:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

Masquerade Tower is 42 floors,

Ipanema Tower is 20 floors. http://skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=4863

The Wikipedia entry is incorrect. The Ipanema tower also was not an addition, it was the original hotel built in 1990. Masquerade Tower was added in 1993. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.25.53.3 (talk) 04:44, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

Pool Name?

The article calls it the Sapphire Pool...there is no mention of 'voodoo' anywhere in the text proper...so why is the section called 'Voodoo Pool'? 62.220.164.103 (talk) 12:21, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
