Rip's Name

edit

Is Rip Hunter's identity still assumed to be an aliase, post IC? Is there a possiblity Rip and Booster are one-in-the-same? 66.109.248.114

Rip is Booster Gold's son? I am pretty certain they are not the same person, Rip is Booster's son from the future. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.79.222.119 (talk) 17:56, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have a good question...What is "Rip" short for? I always thought Rip was short for Ripley, but infobox says it's short for Richard. So, which is it, Ripley or Richard? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.21.235.202 (talk) 16:13, 23 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

If it's a made-up identity, as the current title suggests, it's not short for anything. 92.11.2.243 (talk) 22:29, 12 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

In issue 14 of the current Booster Gold series a Starro possessed Rip discusses killing Booster Gold's son and mentions killing "Jon Michael Carter" at the moment of his birth. Since Booster's name is "Michael Jon Carter" is this likely to be a typo referring to Booster, or is it actually Rip's real name? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.89.238.5 (talk) 21:14, 19 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

"LONG LIVE THE REAL KING"

edit

It's very plausible that a reference to 'the real king' is a tip of the hat to Jack Kirby, who has occasionally been referred to among comic book makers and enthusiasts as 'the king.' His work on The Fourth World is legendary, and rumor is that the fate of the New Gods will come into play somehow in the upcoming Final Crisis. ZachsMind 03:30, 3 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:RipHunter.jpg

edit

Image:RipHunter.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

GOCEreviewed

edit

GOCEreviewed because it's almost entirely in-universe, and because of the fair-use issue in the previous section. --Stfg (talk) 10:01, 25 April 2012 (UTC)Reply
