Rivista italiana di economia demografia e statistica → Italian Review of Economics Demography and Statistics – WP:USEENGLISH, we should use the English language name for it on English Wikipedia. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:20, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support per WP:USEENGLISH. Rreagan007 (talk) 18:15, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose. It's a proper name and the journal cover does not even display the translated title. There are no hits on GScholar for the English name, as opposed to the Italian title. Given the paucity of citations to this journal (even with the Italian title) and the fact that it apparently is not indexed in any selective database suggests that it misses WP:GNG and/or WP:NJournals. PRODding may be more appropriate than renaming. --Randykitty (talk) 10:47, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and Rreagan007. Entries under Category:Academic journals published by learned and professional societies tend to support the contention that, in English Wikipedia, publications which are issued only in the local language, tend to retain their local-language titles, but those that are issued in English or part-English and part-local language, tend to have the main title headers of their entries in English. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 20:16, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose This is a proper name, and the title by which it is referenced in English bibliographies, and of course instrumental to its common academic acronym (RIEDS). Contrary to what is alleged above, English language articles in the journal use the Italian title at the top (e.g. 2020 RIEDS pdf. Even the proposed English translation of the title above is incorrect - its official website translates it as "Italian Journal of Economic, Demographic and Statistical Studies" and not "Italian Review" or whatever is being invented here. - Comment The publication does indeed appear to have an English-language name — either Italian Review of Demography and Statistics, subsequently changed to its Italian name in 1950 — or Italian Review of Economics, Demography and Statistics, per nomination. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 03:36, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- Maybe instead of looking at random internet sites with made-up names, try looking at the official site? And had an English name until 1950? Where do you get your information? (1948 cover). Walrasiad (talk) 03:54, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you for providing the link. I would likewise support a move to the publication name indicated therein — Rivista italiana di economia demografia e statistica → Italian Journal of Economic, Demographic and Statistical Studies or The Italian Journal of Economic, Demographic and Statistical Studies. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 04:07, 17 March 2021 (UTC)
- Why? It's obviously not the common name. Indeed, I challenge you to find a single instance of that title being used in any RS. Walrasiad (talk) 04:19, 17 March 2021 (UTC)

- Oppose as an unofficial translation that is unused. Italian journals known in Italian should be in Italian, e.g. Il Nuovo Cimento. Headbomb {t · c · p · b} 18:36, 24 March 2021 (UTC)
