Talk:Riz Possnett

Former name

edit

@Seaweed: this is a clear-cut situation described in MOS:GENDERID. Under the former name, Possnett was one of four activists arrested in 2022 for a high-profile protest, as detailed in the Environment section. The limited coverage we have in the section is absolutely not sufficient that would have made Possnett notable to have a Wikipedia article at the time (i.e., the general notability guideline), and thus, per the MOS, would not justify the inclusion of the name.

Unless you can find sourcing beyond the Tower Bridge protest, then we should not include the name in spite of the limited news coverage currently in the article. Bridget (talk) 22:51, 28 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Seaweed: not sure you saw my message above – just because we have coverage of the arrest under that name doesn't mean we should include it. Can you offer a justification more rooted in Wikipedia policies/guidelines? Bridget (talk) 14:10, 30 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I've reverted the addition. Bridget (talk) 16:39, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
