Title of final picture in series

edit

Wasn't that just Road to Hong Kong, like the others? This is what Raymond Strait calls it in the text of his bio of Hope and also in the appended filmography as well. Rlquall 18:50, 25 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

No. The last film was the only one to use the definite article in the title, although I haven't the slightest idea why. JDZeff (talk) 23:25, 2 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

The other "Road to" page

edit

Over the weekend, while trying to find a link to this page, I found Road movie#"Road to" movies, and added that link to several pages, including Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, and Dorothy Lamour. When I discovered that some of the films in the list either had no link, or merely pointed to the top of the page, I started fixing them ... that's when I found one linked here. <Sigh!>

Well, I guess I'll spend the next hour reverting those edits to point here. --Dennette 23:40, 28 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Road to …Road to... – The Family Guy parodies have no space, and I also refer to I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! as an example. Unreal7 (talk) 20:53, 26 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Comment - The current title also uses the ellipsis which is not recommended, rather than three unspaced dots .... (MOS:ELLIPSIS). -- [[ axg //  ]] 21:15, 26 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Dispute claim that "Road To Hong Kong" spoofs the spy films of the sixties

edit

According to their respective Wikipedia and Internet Movie Database pages, "Road To Hong Kong" premiered 22 May 1962 and "Dr. No" premiered 5 October 1962. Since "Road To Hong Kong" was made before public viewing of "Dr. No", the first James Bond movie and the start of the sixties spy film craze, it could not have been a spoof of sixties spy films. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zahzuhzaz (talkcontribs) 14:28, 30 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, plus, the claim is not cited. I will edit it out. 73.166.250.111 (talk) 21:29, 1 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
