As I was the original author, I'm curious why this article was flagged with COI. I created the original article after seeing Rob Meadows speak at an event in Stockholm and thinking that his story was really interesting. I did more research on him and collected it in an article to save others time. Is there another author in question? Kine Sundberg (talk) 02:07, 7 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Kine Sundberg The photo raises some red flags, for one thing. I'd like to know what you remember about taking the photograph and how you got him against such a plain background. —C.Fred (talk) 02:11, 7 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hi @C.Fred thanks for responding! Oh I didn't take the photograph. I actually downloaded it from the conference website where I initially saw him speak. Would it be better to try to contact him/his company to get one? Kine Sundberg (talk) 23:38, 7 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Kine Sundberg We need an image that is under a free license. If somebody has already taken one, that will work. Otherwise, you could try to get the company to donate one, but they'll need to contact Wikimedia Commons directly to do that. —C.Fred (talk) 00:02, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
Oh I see - thanks for clarifying! I will try to reach out to his current company and see if they have an image under free license or can donate one directly. Kine Sundberg (talk) 00:11, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@C.Fred The company just informed me that they were able to resolve the copyright issue with Wikimedia Commons. Thanks so much for pointing that out and for your suggested next steps! Kine Sundberg (talk) 03:09, 8 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
