editThis information is somewhat correct. Corrugated board is a three dimensional product while cardboard is of two coordinates. The invention of corrugated has generally been attributed to Robert Gair however two men, Thompson and Norris founded a competing corrugated box firm in that same period and probably would contest that position if still alive.
