I'm just building this page about a WWII officer and assembling references. My wiki skills are limited, but this guy IS important, and I'll keep working. Feel free to help and improve. My refs will include his award citations, 1st person accounts, and official unit histories.I am trying to authenticate a quote said to be from Chesty Puller, that Hall's action prevented the loss of Henderson Field. This is harder than I thought it would be, but I guess it shows how important it is to get this right. Google and Yahoo searches already point to this page first. I can't find when he was born or died, or information on his service except for the famous night on Guadalcanal, and a short comment how as a young Captain in North Dakota in the 1930s he was very serious about training. I'll visit the Americal Division Museum, if I have to, but I doubt if I can get to the records in ND.Jtmilesmmr (talk) 19:38, 10 July 2008 (UTC)I've sent a note to the administrator who seeks speedy deletion.
