The Good Life
editI've just seen him in The Good Life, had about two lines, worth mentioning? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dyefade (talk • contribs) 01:57, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
- No. By today this brief role had two mentions in the article, I have removed them both. The list of Good Life episodes had him down as a 'guest star'; this had to be modified. Philip Cross (talk) 19:36, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
Adventures of a Taxi Driver
editFor some reason, a mention, Lindsay's bit-part in an obscure 1976 sex comedy had been inserted in the middle of a section dealing with his career in the late 80's- early 90's. It was different in style from the rest of the article, poorly written and of no importance, so i got rid of it. Tigerboy1966 (talk) 09:26, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Minesweeper "landing at D-day?"
editNot doubting the sourcing, but the veracity. Minesweepers don't "land", they "ground," and it isn't something regularly bragged about. Anmccaff (talk) 16:21, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
Unreferenced material moved to Talk from main article

In 1974, he took over the role previously played by David Essex in Godspell, at Wyndham's Theatre in London's West End.
In 1984, he appeared as a car dealership manager called Mike Barnes in a salesman's training video for Austin Rover alongside Peter Egan and George A. Cooper, which trained staff on how to sell the Austin Montego, which was launched in April of that year.
Lindsay was also the original choice for the lead role in the drama Cracker; however, he turned the part down, reportedly as he did not want to become too associated with heavy, darker drama characters.[citation needed]
On 9 May 2015, Lindsay recited the wartime speeches of Winston Churchill at VE Day 70: A Party to Remember.
Lindsay sings the recorded version of Derby County F.C.'s song "Steve Bloomer's Watchin'", played and sung by the fans at the beginning of every home game.
On 1 October 2016, Lindsay was given the Freedom of the Borough of Erewash.[citation needed]
