editIn 1948, he had to defend himself against anonymous accusations of disloyalty, mostly because his wife's family were Jewish intellectuals with Socialist leanings, and also because he tried to remove politics from discussions of the feasibility of the fusion bomb, leading to arguments with Edward Teller.[citation needed] Serber went on to be consultant to numerous labs, businesses and commissions.
@Hawkeye7:, I think "correct" is pushing it, at least regarding the motivation. He was investigated, along with a goodly number of others, but the cause is at least partly speculation. Anmccaff (talk) 02:32, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

- Dunno. Might. Unlike the Librarian of Death, though, this part is reasonably close to factual; any errors are more a question of possibility vs solid fact. A lot less urgent than outright hoax. Anmccaff (talk) 05:21, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
