Robert Smith (Canadian politician)Robert Smith (Ontario politician) – Incomplete disambiguation — Robert Smith (Canadian politician) should redirect to the Robert Smith disambiguation page, while Robert Smith (Ontario politician) would be analogous to Robert Smith (British Columbia politician) and Robert Smith (Newfoundland politician). Another RM regarding incomplete disambiguation of a politician named Robert/Bob Smith is currently active at Talk:Bob Smith (American politician)#Requested move 15 September 2018.     Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 07:34, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

  • Support per nom - incomplete disambiguation. Paintspot Infez (talk) 15:23, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom, as there seems to be at least five other Robert Smith entries listed on the dab page that are Canadian politicians. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:09, 16 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. There used to be a misguided idea that if multiple Canadian politicians shared the same name, but one was a federal Member of Parliament while the others were below the federal level (e.g. provincial legislators or mayors), then the federal MP automatically laid claim to the disambiguator "Canadian" instead of a province. That's since been deprecated, however, as Canadian MPs aren't necessarily always prominent or famous enough to genuinely outprimary the others (this one, frex, was a backbencher, not a cabinet minister or PM). Canadian politicians of the same name are now disambiguated by province regardless of what level of government they served at (e.g. the two Richard Cannings), and this one just didn't get caught in the process of making the shift. And while the proposed title technically already exists as a redirect, that other person (a never-elected perennial candidate for a fringe political party that's never held even one seat at any level of government) definitely doesn't get to outprimary an actual MP either.
