Isn't the first few lines of this article slightly opinion based? Some areas of the world have seen the magnificent seven, but not the man from U.N.C.L.E!

Not really, U.N.C.L.E. was as popular (if not more popular) internationally as it was in the U.S. It was broadcast in somewhere in the region of 60 countries. Furthermore, his role in MFU was more central than his role in The Magnificent Seven, so it is more likely for people to associate him with the TV show.ANB (talk) 15:08, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

I'm wondering about what it says that his parents are Roman Catholic. As far as I know, he is partly of Welsh descent and as we know Welshmen aren't Catholics, well not usually anyway. And Vaughn is a Welsh name I believe, so it must be his mother that's Irish. Still, it is no rare thing that a man adopts his wife's religion, like for instance Jake Gyllenhaal's father, he was born a Swedish Protestant but converted to Judeism, his wife's religion.

I have used the GIMP to darken the picture. The result is now at least visible and recognisably Vaughn. The fact that the picture kept being added, at least shows a desire for an illustration. Perhaps this will be acceptable until a decent free-license photograph comes along. --Simon Speed 23:49, 26 October 2007 (UTC)

Ethnicity

Irish-American? Vaughn is a Welsh name ('Fychan').

Yup. But it's also a common anglicisation of the Irish name O Mochain and a few other Gaelic surnames besides. However, there are many Irish Vaugh(a)ns who are decendants of 17th century Welsh settlers in Ireland, so it's possible he's originally Cambro-Irish. ANB (talk) 13:36, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Striking resemblance to Brian Mulroney

In The First Person.

I recall many years ago, watching a Canadian show where Robert Vaughn was interviewed as Christopher Columbus by Patrick Watson, who went on to become the head of C.B.C. This was done in the same format as the Charlie Rose Show. Patrick Watson dressed in a three piece suite, and Robert Vaughn dressed in period costume as Columbus. It was a real eye opener, I saw for the first time the depth of Mr Vaughn's acting ability. Does any one else have recollection of this fine television series.
