Term
editThe term Telecommunication Device for the Deaf (TDD) is outdated. The term TTY, teletypewriter, is used. The term TDD was deemed incorrect, or rather incomplete, as the device is not solely for the Deaf but for the hearing as well who wish to communicate with the Deaf. Almost all business and personal phone listings will use 'TTY', as in: 1-800-555-1818 (TTY) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.75.113.2 (talk • contribs) 09:08, 8 February 2007
